-reducing the risk of diabetes and some kinds of cancer
-improved psychological well-being, including gaining more self-confidence and higher self-esteem
It may also improve your child behaviour and attention or better sleep!
Here is the AHA Recommendation ( The American Heart Association) for all children age 2 and older:
Participate in at least 60 minutes of enjoyable, moderate-intensity physical activities every day that are developmentally appropriate and varied.
If your child or children don’t have a full 60-minute activity break each day, try to provide at least two 30-minute periods or four 15-minute periods in which they can engage in vigorous activities appropriate to their age, gender and stage of physical and emotional development.

The holiday was originally conceived by Claudia Evart to honor the memory of her brother and sister, both of whom passed away at early ages. The organization was incorporated in 1997 and achieved non-profit status in 1999. In the United States, 79% of all children have siblings. The holiday is intended to be a celebration of the relationship of brothers and sisters.
